competence center on modelling (CC-MOD)Welcome to MIDAS
Models are extensively used by the European Commission to support policymaking. Notably, in impact assessments models are used to quantify the environmental, economic and social impacts of policy options. MIDAS documents these models and their contributions to Commission impact assessments starting from July 2017, in accordance with what is recommended by the better regulation Guidelines and associated ‘Toolbox’ (SWD(2021)305 final).
